Complimentary Beer, Wine & Snacks in Economy!

Air Canada is proud to extend their complimentary beer and wine offerings to Economy customers flying within Canada and the U.S. until the end of 2024.  As well as offering complimentary premium snacks from their recently revamped menus.

Air Canada will spotlight Canadian brands with their curated lineup of complimentary snacks and beverages. This will build on their recent food and beverage upgrade, including 100+ new rotating seasonal recipes.

For cocktail aficionados, $5 spirits on offer include Baileys Original Irish Cream, Canadian Club rye, Bacardi Superior rum, Bombay Sapphire gin, Smirnoff vodka, Tromba Tequila Blanco, or Campari. There's something everyone can cheers to with the largest bar offering of any airline in North America.

Restart Alert – Kansas City (MCI) to Toronto Non-Stop

Starting July 1st, 2024, Air Canada will be restarting seasonal service offering non-stop service for Kansas City to Toronto. The only non-stop route linking Kansas and Missouri to Canada.

More Capacity to India

Air Canada will be adding 40% more seat capacity beginning the end of October 2024 to India.

Including the only non-stop flight from Canada, which will operate Toronto to Mumbai four times weekly. There will also be increased Air Canada connectivity from Western Canada to India with new seasonal Calgary – Delhi flight via London Heathrow starting October 27, 2024. Vancouver passengers can also make use of the London to Delhi connection and Montreal to Delhi flights boosted to daily.

Additional Capacity

Air Canada is boosting its schedule serving Canada's capital, Ottawa, by almost 60 per cent!   In addition, 

  • Up to 30 additional weekly flights for winter season compared to last year.  Non-stop flights to Calgary and Winnipeg extended to year-round
  • Additional capacity added to Quebec, Halifax and Vancouver
  • More flights to Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Cancun and Punta Cana for winter 2024
  • Year-round non-stop flights to Madrid from Montreal, and seasonal flights out of Toronto.

WestJet Launches “Extended Comfort” Option

The Extended Comfort option is available to any guests who book Economy cabin fare (Basic, Econo, or EconoFlex), and can be purchased for a fee at time of booking.

Extended Comfort includes benefits that enhance your journey from start to finish. Described by WestJet as a “first-of-its-kind” product for the airline, the Extended Comfort option includes the following:
•    Seats with extra legroom (3-6 inches)
•    Priority boarding (Zone 2)  
•    Early access to overhead bin space
•    Quicker exit upon arrival 
•    A distinct section at the front of the Economy cabin
•    A complimentary alcoholic beverage during inflight service (based on flight duration, aircraft type and destination)

 Conveniently located at the front of the economy cabin, guests will benefit from an enhanced experience that is aligned with WestJet’s values of affordability and accessibility.”

Extended Comfort will replace WestJet’s Economy Cabin Preferred Seating option.

New Requirements for Israel

Israel will require all visitors entering or transiting through the country to have a valid visa or an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) before departure effective AUGUST 1, 2024

Travellers from visa-exempt countries, such as Canada, are still required to apply for ETA-IL through the official website - click here
